In our second exclusive New PEUGEOT 2008 SUV video, we look deeper into the safety features. Thanks to a host of intuitive, intelligent features the New PEUGEOT 2008 SUV is built with strength and character.
We spoke to freediver Daan Verhoeven about safety, how important it is when he’s diving, and what features of the New Peugeot 2008 SUV impress him the most. This includes the low emission Blue HDi diesel engine and innovative Grip Control®*.
In addition to this another great feature is the Active City Brake* which triggers the emergency brake, if the driver fails to, when the car is travelling under 20mph in urban conditions. As pictured below, the Active City Brake functions using a sensor at the top of the windscreen to judge the speed and distance of vehicles in front.
The PEUGEOT i-Cockpit® includes a compact sports steering wheel that offers precise control and improved manoeuvrability.
When the light drops, the New PEUGEOT 2008 SUV has another intelligent feature capable of making life easier on the roads. Cornering assist headlights* illuminate the inside of the corner as the car is turning, in both low beam and high beam, meaning any obstructions or undulations can be easily seen and negotiated.
The innovative Grip Control® optimises traction in low-grip condition using the electronic components already present. This gives you the opportunity to select Standard, Snow, Mud, Sand and ESP (Electronic Stability Programme) Off as and when required.
In emergency situations, the PEUGEOT Connect SOS^ feature within the New PEUGEOT 2008 SUV may prove invaluable. On behalf of the driver, it will make an automatic emergency call if the airbags inflate or the seat belt pre-tensioners are triggered. The system locates the vehicle, makes contact through the on-board telephone, then arranges for emergency services to attend (where appropriate). Alternatively the driver can call PEUGEOT Connect SOS^ quickly by pressing the SOS button located on the dashboard.
The innovative, intuitive features of the New PEUGEOT 2008 SUV makes for a robust drive, with responsive handling and intelligent safety features.
