New PEUGEOT 2008 SUV: Innovative technology

To highlight the innovative technology at the heart of the New PEUGEOT 2008 SUV, we follow blogger and full-time dad Al Ferguson through a busy day with his son Ted, out in Tunbridge Wells.

For anyone travelling through a busy town with a small child, wanting to quickly dash in and out of a shop, parking can be the most stressful element. Park Assist* remedies some of the stress, using ultrasonic sensors and steering management that can take control of the car to move into and out of a selected space.

The New PEUGEOT 2008 SUV also includes CarPlay®* which uses voice recognition software, meaning you can make a hands-free call, text message or play music. Compatible phone apps, such as Google Maps, can also be used without the need to remove your hands from the wheel.

The Reversing Camera* automatically activates when the reverse gear is activated, allowing the driver to view the area behind the car, via the colour touchscreen, while manoeuvring is taking place. This can be particularly useful if small children could be walking behind the car, at a children’s play area or school.

Satellite Navigation*, which comes with 5 years of European Mapping Updates, and Active City Brake* provide useful driver assistance, alongside the innovative Grip Control®* which optimises traction in low grip situations using electronic components already present on the vehicle.

Thanks to the innovative technology within the New PEUGEOT 2008 SUV the driver can concentrate on getting to their destination in comfort.
