A closer look at Grip Control®

As the weather shifts from warm and sunny to cold and windy, you’ll be faced with some trying conditions when you’re out for a drive. Whether you’re dropping the kids off at school, going for a winter walk along a beach or taking a drive to a local wood to walk the dog, PEUGEOT’s Grip Control® can adapt to a variety of surfaces giving you optimum traction at the twist of a dial.

Grip Control® is accessed via a dial on the centre console. Once the desired mode is engaged the related icon is illuminated, making it quick and easy to adapt to the conditions.

By using electronic components already installed in the car, PEUGEOT’s Grip Control® adds no extra weight to the vehicle – so you don’t incur excessive fuel consumption like a traditional 4×4. With its 17″ alloy wheels and complemented with Mud & Snow tyres, Grip Control® can tackle a host of different terrain:

Mud

Engage Mud Mode and Grip Control® will transmit the maximum available torque to the wheel with the most grip, clearing the mud beneath, allowing you to drive away and enjoy your journey.

Snow

Designed to work perfectly in snow or on a steep slope, Snow Mode adapts the spin of each front wheel according to the grip available to provide the best acceleration possible, leaving you fully equipped for any future snow days.

Sand

The Sand Mode excels in loose ground by spinning the front wheels simultaneously, allowing the vehicle to move.

ESP Off

This disables Grip Control® up to 30mph, at which point Standard mode is re-engaged for your safety.

Standard

Suited for normal, everyday driving.

The new PEUGEOT 2008 SUV, with its adaptable and versatile Grip Control®, is the epitome of Control Built In.

Grip Control® is standard from Allure level, excluding 1.2L PureTech 82 & ETG S&S.
